Symptom

You want to completely empty your webspace, so you can start over with an empty webspace from the beginning.

Solution

Please note that by emptying the webspace in accordance with this manual, some basic settings, such as web and FTP username, PHP and SSL settings will be lost and need to be set up again. Only your databases remain untouched.

Before you empty your webspace, please make a backup copy of your data.

To empty the webspace, proceed as follows:

1. Log in to the webspace control panel.

2. If you have multiple domain names, remove all domains except the main domain with the "remove" icon on the domain. This removes e-mail inboxes related to the domain.

3. In the main domain, click on "Hosting Settings". In the "Hosting Type" line, which currently shows the value "Website", click on the "Change" link. Select "No web hosting".

4. Save the setting with the "OK" button. A warning prompts you to confirm that files and directories are being deleted. If you are sure that everything can be deleted, confirm the dialog with "OK".

5. Wait 15 minutes before you proceed. The web server must have the opportunity to apply the new configuration.

6. After waiting 15 minutes, click on "Hosting Settings" again. Now change the "Hosting Type" back to "Website". This will prompt you to create a new web user name and passwords. Just complete the dialogue. If necessary, add the checkmark next to "SSL" if you want to use SSL and then confirm the settings with "OK".

7. Click on the "PHP" icon and choose the preferred PHP version. This is usually the highest PHP version number and the "PHP FPM via Apache" mode.

8. If necessary, recreate your SSL certificate with the "Let's Encrypt" icon.

9. If you have rented additional domains, add the additional domains again with the "Add Domain" button.

10. It may take another 15 minutes after the changes to make all domains available again. This is a normal process.
