Symptom

You want to be reachable in the same domain with different email addresses, but only use a single mailbox.

Solution

While you could create each email address individually and forward the incoming mail to your other mailbox, it is even better to set up an alias (an alternate address) to the mailbox. Because with a forwarding, every incoming e-mail also sends an e-mail via the outbox, which then has to be received again from the destination mailbox. This mail counts against your outgoing mail limit. With an alias the mail is received directly by the correct destination.

To create an alias,

1) Log in to the webspace control panel.

2) Click on the tab "Mail".

3) Click on the e-mail address you want to create an alias for.

4) Click on the "Email Aliases" tab.

5) Enter the alias in the "Email Alias" field. If you want to add multiple aliases, just click "Add Email Alias" to provide more fields. In the Bitpalast® Business Booster webspace any number of aliases can be entered.

6) Save the new settings with the "OK" button.
