Symptom

You have leased a domain from Bitpalace. This domain shall be operated by Bitpalace in the future, but the person entitled to the domain name shall be changed. The invoice will also be paid by the new owner.

Cause

This is typically the case when the legal form of your business changes or a previously privately operated domain will be operated by another natural person, a corporation or club in the future.

Solution

Bitpalace must be able to prove quite sure that you waive your rights to the domain name. Therefor you must cancel the domain contract. It suffices when you inform Bitpalace informally that the domain shall be transferred to a new owner. Your cancellation must be signed. A cancellation by e-mail does not suffice.

If after a cancellation a domain remains with Bitpalace and is being operated by a new owner, cancellation periods do not apply.

Bitpalace needs the new domain owner to agree with the business rules and regulations, the acceptable use policy, and we will also need new payment data, such as a new credit card number or direct debit mandate. These must also be signed. Therefor it is best practice that the new domain owner orders the services desired through the online order system.

As an alternative, you can use the form provided below to transfer the customer account to a new owner.
